We are delight to inform about the first project of Sustainable Energy Forum:

Asia-Europe Net-Zero Alliance

"The Asia-Europe Net-Zero Alliance is an initiative to foster intercontinental cooperation for a sustainable future and the achievement of Net-Zero goals. Acknowledging the urgent need for global climate action, the project builds on the key role of Asia and Europe in driving transformative change. The project aims to coordinate business and scientific partnerships between European and Asian actors. It is an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience in the field of energy transition and sustainable development.

The aim of the competition is to identify the best projects in the Net-Zero domain, with a particular focus on key areas such as:

  • electromobility,

  • hydrogen technologies,

  • sustainable water management,

  • wind energy.

1. Participants

The competition covers two categories of participants: individuals (students, academics) and organizations (companies), focusing on groundbreaking zero-emission technologies.

2. Criteria

With regard to the international nature of the event and the wide range of participants in the competition, the preliminary requirements for the sustainability of a given project (competition entry) are formulated in a general and clear manner, namely:

  • Is the project environmentally sustainable?

  • Is the project technically sustainable?

  • Is the project economically sustainable?

  • Is the project socially sustainable?

The competition projects are not limited by a single imposed format. The regulations introduced are intended to stimulate interest in participating in the competition, given SEF's priority aspirations to create a business and scientific community in the area of sustainability and to promote the issue of Net-Zero industry as a key challenge for Europe.

3. Assessment

The entries will be reviewed by the Competition Jury, composed of experts in the relevant fields. In the context of the overall competition regulations and the diversity of entries, the Jury will ensure that the competition is conducted efficiently.
